I started working with Jackie in February 2026. At the time I wanted to improve my running but was struggling with consistency and how to approach my training. On signing up with Jackie we had an initial discussion on what my objectives were and we discussed how realistic these were and the timeline to reach them. We agreed a target race and then every week I got a detailed program with instructions on how to complete the more technical runs. The program is tailored for me personally based on my weekly progress and feedback which I felt has been really beneficial (ie not just a generic program).
An additional bonus is accountability as having the runs laid out each week ensures I make myself get out regardless of the weather (esp over the last few months!). Jackie is great at coming back to me on queries and also giving positive feedback but is not afraid to call you out when needed. Before the target race I has signed up for a half marathon and had not trained properly due to injury but Jackie was great at advising how to complete the run and it was the most enjoyable half I have done to date.
We completed my first target race and finished better than last years time but overall I feel my form/technique, fitness and enjoyment of running has improved which is the biggest bonus for me. Her own love and knowledge of running comes through when discussing plans and her enthusiasm has pushed me on to do better !
