My philosophy is based on the Science of Running.  I offer a personalized running coaching service.  It is important to me to support every individual runner build aerobic training,  support vitality and enjoy a long injury free running career, while achieving your running goals.

There are 5 phases to training.

Aerobic Development Phase

This is the most important and takes the longest to establish but once established the aerobic ability is fundamental to all the training programs and the biggest determining factor in performance and recovery.  All aerobic training should be done at ‘conversational pace’.  The runner should finish the session feeling they could have ran faster and for longer.

Anaerobic Phase

This phase introduces speed.  I help you feel comfortable with being uncomfortable while training efficiently without the risk of injury, fatigue or overtraining.

Hill Phase

This is a specific training phase that introduces hill strides and bounds which develop strength and flexibility.

Integration phase

This is the fun phase - It is the bridge to peak performance.  .  It combines the Aerobic conditioning and the Anaerobic conditioning which will enable you to cover your goal distance smoothly. We introduce pacing skills, by introducing time trills and races to simulate your goal race, this will give you an opportunity to ‘dress rehearse’ the main event.  

The Taper phase

 I will use the taper phase to make sure you are fully replenished and you’re fully recovered and ready to take flight.
